I. Non Immersion and Accelerated Program Courses:

About the Non Immersion program

The Non Immersion program requires taking a maximum 32 hour session or more, with the minimum of 16 hours, for any private, semi-private and group classes. Homework will be assigned to reinforce what you have learned in class.

Each session is eight weeks long. You can choose between 2 hours per week (16 hours total), 3 hours per week (24 hours total), or 4 hours per week (32 hours total).

Private: One on one, student with teacher. We offer an 8 week session of 32, 24, and 16 hours. Classes are scheduled according to the student(s)' and teacher's availability. All spanish levels are offered: beginner, intermediate, and advanced.
Semi-private (2/3 students): We offer an 8 week session of 32, 24 and 16 hours for this program. Classes are scheduled according to the student(s)' and teacher's availability. All spanish levels are offered: beginner, intermediate, and advanced.
Group classes (4 to 8 students): We offer an 8 week session of 32, 24, and 16 hours. All spanish levels are offered: beginner, intermediate and advanced.

About the Accelerated Program

The accelerated program requires taking a maximum 48 hour session or more, with the minimum of 32 hours. We offer private, semi-private, corporate and group classes for beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. The same courses are offered for the accelerated program as the Non Immersion program. Homework will be assigned to reinforce what you have learned in class.

Each session is eight weeks long. You can choose between 4 hours per week (32 hours total), 5 hours per week (40 hours total), or 6 hours per week (48 hours total).

II. Immersion Program "Destinos"

Welcome to Destinos an audiovisual program. It is a video course based on series that allows students to develop speaking and writing skills, and abundant reading materials are also provided. But Destinos is especially suitable to help learners develop good listening comprehension skills. Adopting the format of the highly popular Hispanic telenovela (soap opera), Destinos is innovative in adopting a comprehension based approach for the teaching of Spanish. An important portion of the instruction in the course will take place while you watch a series of fifty two half-hour television shows, therefore there are fifty two chapters or episodes in the Destinos series. Each episode will last one half hour and it is shown in each class you meet. Homework will be assigned to reinforce what you have learned in class.

The Destinos materials have been designed to make learning Spanish enjoyable, but they are also created to make it really possible for you to learn something about Spanish and how to use it.

The Goals of Destinos

In addition to watching the series, if you use the textbook along with the workbook/study guides, if you have access to and regularly use the audio program, you can expect to accomplish a great deal with Destinos.

In terms of speaking, you should be able to ask and answer questions on a variety of everyday topics, describe people and places, talk about things that are happening in your life, and have some ability to talk about things that happened in the past. In the context of learning a second language, that is actually quite a lot to achieve.
The writing skills that you develop will, in many cases, be the same as the speaking skills, that is, the ability to describe and narrate in the present, and to some extent in the past, and so on.
Finally, by the end of the series you will have seen and heard a great deal about the culture and history of places around the world where Spanish is spoken, and you will have many visual memories of those places. We hope that you will come to think of the Spanish-Speaking world as a place you would like to visit someday.
