About Us

The Spanish Language Center of Newton is located in the heart of Newton Center. It was founded with the mission of providing top quality private, semi- private and small group Spanish classes of all levels: from Beginners to Advanced. SLC emphasizes a student's participation in class, giving him/her an increased level of motivation to study a foreign language.

Our Purpose

The purpose of our service is to provide the student with a native speaking and gifted teacher with years of teaching experience in this country and abroad. Our teaching techniques are mainly focused on a student-centered philosophy, giving the student an increased level of motivation to study a foreign language. This provides an opportunity for the student to interact with the teacher and with other students in the Spanish language. The Spanish Program at the Spanish Language Center of Newton offers a variety of courses to accommodate the individuals skill level.

Our Goal

Corporate, private, semi-private, and small groups of classes (4 to 8 students) are individualized; each student receives ample individual attention and the chance to participate actively in class. The learning environment here allows the student to reach a higher level of fluency than a typical college course, as the main goal of the program is the use of expressions from real life situations in Hispanic culture. Students will learn to speak, read, write and understand Spanish in order to develop proficiency in these areas. Homework will be assigned to reinforce the lessons learned in class. We require each student to come to class well prepared.
